Merry Christmas to you all

Well what a manic December that has been. We covered a couple of Christmas Fayres, a Carnival and a couple of parties and a few Portraits and even with our new Zenfolio site handling the majority of the smaller print sizes, broke our own record for Loxley Prints. So I am now pulling the plug for a few days !

Hope you all have a really great Christmas and a Happy New year and my team and I look forward to meeting you in the new year somewhere.

Merry Christmas

Adrian

Leweston School Ball

Well what a weekend thats was. After blindly following my TomTom through waterlogged, windswept Dorset villages we found ourselves outside Leweston School.

We checked in and after meeting our host, Luci, found a suitable location for the studio. Once setup I covered some ambiance shots of the Drinks reception.  This was followed by a couple of informal class shots.

All the guests them made their way to the Theme decorated hall for the Buffet. This was followed by Belly Dancers and an amazing Disco provided by 'The Wizard Strobe Show".

We had a very busy Event Studio with the capacity of a 3m by 6m studio set being thoroughly tested. Sunday morning I got phone calls asking where they could see the photos on the Internet and by late afternoon we had them on our Zenfolio site and started immediately receiving orders.

Our thanks to Luci and all her friends, classmates, guests, teachers and the care taker for making it a very enjoyable evening.

A great day at Sandbanks Hotel

Our penultimate Beach Wedding of 2009, and what a superb day.

The Sun was out, a gorgeous, happy couple and bridal party and the excellent Sandbanks Hotel as the Wedding venue.

As normal for us, I dropped off the Second Photographer and assistant with the Bride. Rather unusually the Groom was there as well having a coffee before going to the Sandbanks Hotel. I met him at the Groomsmen a bit later 'taking it easy' at the hotel before they got changed. We also provided Wedding video on the this occasion, so that was set up for the ceremony.

The Bridesmaids arrived followed by the Bride. The ceremony went well although we seemed to gain an assistant ! followed by drinks al fresco. We provided group shots from the hotel out to sea and then a couple from the beach back towards the hotel. We videoed and photographed the speeches and let everyone enjoy their meal whilst we went and backed up.

After the Wedding Breakfast we just had time to catch some beach photos and the sunset before a very lively Disco. Had some fun videoing that !

All our best for lives together go to Ann and Colin. Thanks for a superb day.

Monday 21 September 2009

A very Lively day by the seaside.

After dropping off the Second Photographer and assistant with the Bride I made my way to the Grooms house. I was greeted by large trays of sausage, Bacon, Black pudding and fried eggs. Absolutely wonderful. I didn't risk the egg though, I had my tie on !

After this feast we made our way to the Beautiful church in Talbot Village with the Grooms entourage travelling in a stretched Limo. After the ceremony we completed the group shots on the lawn by the church and then headed off for our first visit to Alum Chine Beach.

We covered some more less formal group shots and headed to the Riviera Hotel in Alum Chine for the Wedding Breakfast. After the Wedding Breakfast we were asked if we minded returning to the beach. Off course we didn't and thought we would be doing some more romantic sunset shots. Oh no we didn't, on arrival at the beach we found some of the guests already in the sea and the Bride and Groom rolled up their trousers and removed the hoop ? and went paddeling in the sea, jumping off the Groynes and padelling again in the childrens pool. We did get one 'quiet' shot of them at a beach hut on the way back. This was followed by a very spirited and lively Disco at the hotel.

A very busy yet enjoyable day. Our thanks and Best wishes for their life together go to Claudine and Zak.

Bransgore and Christchurch

A trip to Bransgore this weekend. After dropping off the second photographer and assistant in Kinson, I had some fun in the park with the Groom and BestMan. After a short pub visit we made our way to Bransgore Methodist Church for the service given by the Grooms own mother. Not had that before !

We then headed to Christchurch for a surprise trip down the river to the Reception Venue at the Christchurch Rowing Club. The Bride Groom received a Guard of Honour on their arrival from the massed antenna's of the Dorset Radio Amateur Emergency Network.

The Wedding Breakfast was followed by a quick modelling session along the banks of the river. The day finished with a lively disco and very enjoyable BBQ on the veranda of the rowing club. A very enjoyable day. Our best wishes and good luck to Sarah and Laurence for their married life together.

Poole Guildhall and Hamworthy Club

Amazing weather again, in between the rainy days we get yet another sun filled day. Bank holiday weekend as well !
When the Bride arrives in a Fire Engine you know it is going to be different.

After the ceremony at the excellent Poole Guidhall and group shots on the steps, we headed off to Evening Hill and then Sandbanks, a usual request for us but not taking a fire engine along. The Driver was really helpful and drove to where ever we wanted and then back to the Hamworthy club.

A very nice Wedding Breakfast followed by some relaxed modelling in the grounds.

A very enjoyable day. Our best wishes for their future together to Marie and Jay.

Poole Guildhall and Canford Magna Golf Course

A lovely day, two lovely venues all made for a very enjoyable Wedding day. First to Poole Guildhall, a very nice venues with special photographers balconies and a staircase made for group shots. Then on to Canford Magna Golf course with lakes and fountains, for the Wedding Breakfast.

A very enjoyable afternoon. Our thanks and best wishes to Margaret and John in their lives together.

St Marys Chapel, Lulworth and Springfields Hotel

A bit more travelling today but still in county. Dropped the second photographer off with the Bride in Hamworthy and made my way to meet the Groom at the Springfields Hotel in Wareham. Weather was rather overcast but forecast was good.

From Springfields we made our way to St Mary's with the Groom. I received an SMS from my second team in Ringstead that stated "visibility 2 meters" Oh we do love a challenge.

A gorgeous chapel with a balcony for photograpers allowed us some flexibility with shots during the ceremony followed by some group shots in the lovely grounds of the chapel after.

We returned to Springfields for the Wedding Breakfast and some modelling shots.

The evening was started with a Hyponotist, Kris Von Sponneck Which was amazing. I haven't witnessed a Hyponotist live before, superb. Then a Live band rounded off an excellent day.

Our best wishes to Rebecca and Matthew in there life together.

Ringwood Registry Office and the Three Tuns, Bransgore

Again I have been remiss in updating my blog but finally I am catching up.

A lovely sunny day for this Wedding. Dropped off the second photographer with the Bride in St Ives and made my way to Ringwood to meet the Groom.

A very crowded ceremony at the registry office followed by the Wedding Breakfast at the Three Tuns in Bransgore. There was a cowboy theme running through the WB with a Hog Roast, Bucking Bronco and supplied hats.

A very enjoyable day, finished off with a Live Band called Night Shift.

Our best wishes and good luck for the future to Laura and Dennis.

Sunday 26 July 2009

St Georges and the Quay Hotel

As usual I dropped the Second Photographer off at the Brides Parents House but unusually I had been invited to have Breakfast with the Groom's entourage in The Quay Hotel. This made a very nice change and was a valuable inclusion in the proceedings as I got to know the guests before pointing cameras at them !

We went for a stroll along the quay and got aboard a very nice cruiser for the photos. We then left for St Georges, Oakdale. A lovely bright, well lit church and very Photographer friendly. After the Ceremony we did the group shots on the lawn and then headed back to the Quay hotel.

At the Quay we were invited to the Wedding Breakfasts as guests which was very pleasant and most appreciated. A very nice meal was provided by the Hotel.

After the Wedding Breakfast we took the Bride and Groom to Sandbanks for some relaxed and informal 'modelling'.

After Cutting the Cake and the First Dance we left party to enjoy themselves at about 10.20pm.

An excellent day, Beautiful weather, excellent guest and Poole at its best. Our best wishes to Karen, Martin and Emily in there lives together.

Sunday 19 July 2009

Mortons House Hotel

A Purbeck wedding for us this weekend. I dropped the Second Photographer and assistant at the Brides mothers house in Swanage and made my way to meet the Groom at the Purbeck House Hotel. We did a number of posed and informal shots of the Groom and Bestman and then a couple of the Grooms family before I left for the Mortons House Hotel for the Ceremony.

A very enjoyable day and all our best to Zoe and Reece for their life together.
After the Ceremony we managed to get some reportage and the Group shots in before the rain came down. We cancelled the trip to the Castle and made for the reception at The Square and Compass in Worth Matravers.

After the Wedding Breakfast and before we lost the light we managed to get a trip in to St Aldhelms Head for the Photos. Thanks to Rob the farmer for permission to use his track.

Sunday 12 July 2009

Highcliffe Castle, Dorset

Nice and local this time and a beautiful venue. Unfortunately I could not sort out the weather which managed to rain all day.
Fortunately the British spirit prevailed and a really superb level of support was provided by the guests and the venues. I don't think we really noticed the weather in the end.

After the ceremony and a couple of quick group shots outside we travelled just down the road to The Lord Bute for the Wedding Breakfast.

The Wedding Breakfast was followed by a live band 'The Lemongrove' and some superbly entertaining dancing by the guests.

Our best wishes for their future together go to Kerrie and Steve.

Sunday 5 July 2009

Forde Abbey

Yet more travelling but a little closer to home. A different format though for this one. My second photographer took the booking in her own name but asked if I could assist. Role reversal and made a nice change.

I travelled to Forde Abbey and met the Groom. Forde Abbey is a beautiful venue and I arrived a litle early so that I could have a look around.

Lots of Photo opportunities but not much time as the Wedding Breakfast was a nearby farm and the Bride and Groom were travelling by horse and cart and then a Tractor.

A lovely day and wonderful people. My best wishes for the future to Lucy and Tom.

Sunday 28 June 2009

The Guildhall, Poole

Had a slightly damp but enjoyable day at The Guildhall in poole.

Then via a photoshoot in Baiter park onto the Bakers Arms for the Wedding Breakfast.

All our best for Sirje and Steve in their life together.

St Ethelredas, EC1

Well, of on our travels again for this one. St Ethelreda's, London. EC1 not our normal patch, but a recomendation put them in contact and we are always up for something different.

After trusting Tom Tom, and hence going a very unusual way and then got stuck in a 1 hour tailback on the A40 we made it to the brides house for the prep. shots. I left my second Photographer with the bride and made my way to the church to meet the groom. No problem parking. St Ethelreda's is in a private road.

A beautiful, if a bit dark church. Full of history. After the ceremony drinks were outside and then for the Wedding Breakfast we headed into the Crypt. Very dark and challenging for photography. A very nice meal and then a lot of wild dancing. We had met some of the guest's two years ago so weren't totally surprised at the enthusiatic dancin.

A really nice day. Our Thanks and Best Wishes to Emma and Mike in their life together.

A Fairy Tale Wedding

Well, first of all my apologies for the belated up date. We are amazingly busy which is a good thing but it did mean I left the Blog out, sorry.

We have had a couple of really different and challenging Weddings. The first being Castell Coch in Cardiff, Wales. Absolutely beautiful, so many options and not enough time. Fortunately we had a lovely couple who permitted us to try a couple of options for them.

We then went on to Roath Park, yet another beautiful venue with loads of options.

Followed by the Wedding Breakfast at the Juboraj Indian Restaurant. Yes I ate to much wonderful food. We don't normally get fed but they insisted and it was wonderful.

All our best to Hayley and Shahid for their life together and thank you for a wonderful day.

Sunday 7 June 2009

Miramar Hotel

What a superb Bournemouth Wedding day we had on Friday. Springbourne Christian Center for a very lively and enthusiastic ceremony.

Then via Bournemouth Gardens onto the Miramar Hotel with its gorgeous setting. We managed to do all the requested group shots and still be early for the Wedding Breakfast thanks to a very helpful Best Man and 'responsive' guests.

We even managed to get a trip to the beach with the Bridal Party for some fun shots. An extra surprise late in the evening was the arrival of an Ice Cream Van for the guests.
An excellent and very enjoyable day. Our best wishes for your future together go to Ruth and Matthew.
